Jim concentrates his taxation practice in business entities including C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, and LLCs, including multi-state entities. In addition to his business entity work, he has experience with preparation of income tax returns for individuals and estates and trusts. Jim is responsible for aspects of the preparation and research phases of tax engagements.
Prior to joining Macpage in 2013, Jim worked in a large professional services firm in the Washington, D.C. area providing consulting services to federal government entities. He was also a United States Naval Flight Officer aboard the P-3 Orion, and spent two years on the Chief of Naval Operations’ staff at the Pentagon.
Jim received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Villanova University, his Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University and his Master of Taxation degree from American University. Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Jim is an avid distance runner and has completed numerous marathons around the country, including multiple editions of the Boston Marathon.
